Workflow
1
Get access
A Filevine account admin provisions your LOIS for Word access. Install the Word add-in individually or have a Microsoft 365 administrator deploy it to your organization.See Authentication and Install the Word add-in.
2
Set your context
Select a profile for company or client context and a playbook containing the checks you want to apply. You can build a playbook manually, generate one with AI, or start from a benchmark.See Company profile and Building playbooks.
3
Review or draft in Word
Run a playbook or agent review to identify issues and propose redlines. Use Composer for questions, drafting, research, summaries, and targeted document changes.See Agent Review and Agentic chat.
4
Review the output
Inspect proposed changes, comments, explanations, and sources before applying them to the document. Accept, edit, or reject changes based on the current deal and your professional judgment.
5
Capture reusable knowledge
Save useful redlines as precedent, refine checks, and create saved prompts for recurring tasks. This keeps your team’s approved examples and instructions available for later work.See Using precedent and Saved prompts.
6
Measure activity
Use Analytics to track usage, playbook activity, recurring risks, knowledge capture, and estimated time saved.See Analytics.
